Training News -
May Day
Please note that due to pool closures there will be no training on Monday 5th May.

Club Summer Shutdown
The Club will have its annual closure starting
Thursday 14th August with swimming resuming on the Monday 1st September. This affects all squads and all academy levels.

Academy
All Silver and Gold Academy swimmers will receive letters detailing new training arrangements starting 21st April. With effect from this date the Club will start using the refurbished Grammar School facilities and no longer swim at Green Park. Additionally a Platinum Squad is being introduced so please refer to your individual letter for details of your squad and training times.

Club News

Club EGM
An EGM will be held at 8pm Wednesday 21st May at Aqua Vale. The main agenda item is the adoption of a revised constitution to align with the ASA model. All Club members with voting rights (16 and over) are encouraged to attend.

The next Maxwell 2008 competitions at Aqua Vale will take place on the following dates:

South East Regional Championships
Entry information

The S.E. Region has changed the entry format for the Age Group competition in June. Each swimmer now needs to do their own online entry

Go to www.southeastswimming.org and then click on BAGCAT championships on the right hand side. This will bring up a page where you will see online entry system, click on this and then just fill in the form and submit it. You will then receive a confirmation email of your entry. Can you please forward this to me at san@winty.fsnet.co.uk. I can then check for obvious mistakes and collate the entries in order to do the summary and send one club cheque. I will then just need your cheque, for your entry, made payable to Maxwell Swim Club.

Maxwell retain County Championship

At the end of the final competition weekend of this years Oxfordshire and North Buckinghamshire County Championships, Maxwell ran out convincing winners of both the overall “Top Club” award and top “Junior Club” award.

The current strength of the Club showed not just in many great individual performances but in particular in the Senior and Junior relays where Maxwell “A” teams won 14 out of the 16 events and the “B” and “C” teams achieved a further 12 podium places.

Retaining both Championship awards for the third year running is a great credit to the hard work and dedication of our swimmers and their Coaches. Congratulations to you all.

Maxwell June Meet NEW
Download the entry form for the next Maxwell Meet on the 14th and 15th June. There will be five age groups and events cover all strokes for 50m, 100m and 200m plus 100IM and 200IM. There will be two sessions per day ending at approximately 5.30pm so allowing you to enjoy (weather permitting) a long summer evening.
