Platinum Academy

The Platinum Academy is the 3rd squad within Maxwell Swim Club. This squad aims to enhance the work done in the Gold Academy. The major difference with this squad is that the number of sessions per week increases from 2 to 3 or 4. Due to this each swimmer in the Platinum Academy develop their Aerobic fitness further and their skill work improves during this time as the swimmers are able to sustain good technique over long distances.

The skills learnt previously in the Gold Academy are taken to the next level through the development of Aerobic fitness. The key focus still remains on getting the basics right! - Streamlining skills, Stroke techniques and drills, starts & turns and building up their aerobic fitness.
 
Most swimmers now begin to compete within this group but their training remains in a fun and friendly environment!

The Maxwell Platinum Academy (Aylesbury) utilizes the Grammar School Pool and Stoke Mandeville Stadium twice a week. The teaching staff is made up from Maxwell Coaches & Serco Teachers
