Congratulations to John Wilford - Unsung Hero - Bucks Sports
Bucks has been extraordinarily lucky to have someone as talented as John as their County Swimming Co-ordinator; he invests endless time and energy for the good of the sport! He is a referee, mentor and coach,
and locally has introduced inspiring training programmes across the county. John is also a national referee, and County President for the Oxford and North Bucks County Amateur Swimming Association. John continues to support clubs across the county and
has been instrumental in working both with them and officials to meet the new requirements set by governing bodies. As well as all his work for the county, John has been a member of the Maxwell Swim Club for more than 20 years and was
nominated by Maxwell for this prestigious award.
At the same award ceremony, Maxwell Swim Club came runners-up in the “Club of the Year Award” to the Milton Keynes Cycling Club. Read the full story here
