Winning start to new 08/09 Season
Maxwell swimmers blew away the summer break cobwebs (well most of them) to come away winners of the Witney relay competition for the third year running. In a tight competition, Maxwell eventually won by just a few points from Ruislip with Witney third, Aylesbury fourth and Henley in fith place.
The Witney run event is an annual start of the season competition and comprises entirely of relays. Its a great fun
event for bringing teams together after the summer break and although its the only event where relays are raced in all strokes, the competition is no less intense than any other swimming event.
Coordinating more than two hours of relay competition is pretty demanding so a big thanks to all the Officials, Coaches and Team Managers for there efforts.
