Great Britain International Maxwell Swimmer Launches Swim Schools
Great Britain Swimmer Craig Gibbons is today launching his own swim clinics which are intended to provide swimmers of the BAGCAT ages (of any ability) the opportunity to learn from the best and be taught skills that will enable them to improve.
Craig will be present the whole day to give
demonstrations and advice on what it takes to reach the highest level. He will also share the knowledge that has been taught to him to enable him to swim at World and European Championships for Great Britain. Craig’s current coach; GB Coach Kevin Brooks will also be at the camps providing the coaching during each session.
The day will educate the swimmers and parents on the basics of nutrition and how it has a huge impact on their performances. It will also cover stroke technique
and efficiency, drills, skills and land training work; to improve flexibility, core stability and injury prevention.

Volunteers
A club like Maxwell would not be able to run without the help of volunteers. If you are able to help out with volunteering please let Ian Brewer know ASAP. Help is needed on the day of galas for everything from Car Park attendant, Front Reception Desk, Warm Up Marshalls, Card Room help and Marshalling Area. In return we will provide you will free entry to the meet and with lunch if you are helping all day. No experience is necessary as full training will
be given. We also ensure there is enough help so you do not miss your child swimming.
Long Term - Maxwell need to find more officials. These are the people in the white outfits doing Timekeeping and Judging. If you are interested in learning one of these roles please contact Anne Minihan for more information.
