Maxwell & Swans

The "Maxwell & Swans" section of Maxwell Swim Club started officially in 2009 as a partnership between Maxwell and Buckingham Swans Swim Club.

Buckingham Swans has been based at the Swan Pool since 1996 and Maxwell in 2008 instigated the Swimming Development Academy initiative at this pool to develop competitive swimming and enable swimmers to access more coached training sessions in Buckingham.

All swimmers that join the Maxwell & Swans section pay full training fee's to Maxwell and are registered to compete under Maxwell. All swimmers upon joining also become dual members with Buckingham Swans which enables more opportunities for all the swimmers and both clubs involved.

The structure has gradually grown and now in Buckingham we're able to offer the following:

Bronze Academy
Silver Academy
Skill Development Squad
County Age & Youth Squad
Buckingham Swans Club Sessions

Maxwell Head Coach Oversees the whole "Maxwell & Swans" programme and works in conjunction with Buckingham Swans Head Coach Dave Hilliard who oversees the Swans Club.

Neil Blunstone is the Lead Coach of the "Maxwell & Swans" section and he is also the assistant coach of the Swans Club.

We're also very lucky to have Andrea Wright who looks after all the Admin for the squads and is responsible for the Bronze Academy. Sam Jordan and Ela Johnson, both Buckingham Swans Swimmers also assist in the coaching of the Academy groups along with Swan Pool Teacher Alison Morris.
