Gold Academy
The Gold Academy is the 2nd squad within Maxwell Swim Club. This squad aims to enhance the work done in the Silver Academy. The skills learnt previously in the Silver Academy are taken to the next level through the development of Aerobic fitness. The key focus remains on getting the basics right! - Streamlining skills, Stroke techniques and drills, starts & turns and building up their aerobic fitness. Some swimmers may begin to compete within this group but the majority are still learning the basics of competitive development and their training is all about enjoyment and have fun!
The Maxwell Gold Academy utilizes the Grammar School Pool and Stoke Mandeville Stadium twice a week. The teaching staff is made up from Maxwell Coaches & Serco Teachers
