Kevin Brooks - Head Coach

Kevin has been in post as our Full Time Head Coach since 2004. He takes personal responsibility for the Senior Squads (including the Sprint and Masters Squads) training programme as well as developing and managing the entire swimming, competition programme & coaching structure of the club. Kevin has been in coaching since retiring from competitive swimming in 1997 when he turned 16. Since this time he has reached the highest levels as a coach.

Kevin is a qualified ASA Coach (Levels 4 & 5) and he also holds a degree in ‘ Sports Development & Coaching Sciences’. He studied for his degree on the South Coast at Bournemouth University and during this time he was the Assistant coach at ‘Ferndown Otters Swim Club’, a performance club under the direction of Olympic coach Tony Watson. Notably his dissertation in his final year was based on Long Term Athlete Development in swimming.
