Academy
The Swimming Development Academy is for swimmers aged under 10 years who can already swim at least 25 meters. Developing stroke technique and building up distance ability is the main focus to enable progression through to the Skills Development Squad.
The first stage is Bronze
and is a run in partnership with Aqua Vale. Swimmers are invited form the Aqua Vale lesson programme to attend once a week to develop all four strokes along with an introduction to “starts and turns”. As swimmers develop they will progress through the Silver and Gold stages where they will gradually building up their technique and stamina.
